David
M. Yamins, M.D., a graduate
of Harvard College and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, has
been in the private practice of psychiatry in New York City since
1976. He is Board Certified in both general and geriatric psychiatry.
Dr. Yamins is an attending physician at the Maimonides Medical
Center in Brooklyn, on the Consultation and Emergency Psychiatry
Service. His responsibilities include teaching medical students
and supervising and teaching psychiatric residents.
Dr. Yamins is also affiliated with the Beth Israel Medical
Center in New York City, and holds the rank of Clinical Assistant
Professor at SUNY - Downstate, at the New York College of Osteopathic
Medicine and at St. Georges University Medical School.
Dr. Yamins works extensively as
a clinical psychiatrist, and as an expert witness, testifying
in cases involving diverse
claims, such as Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Depression,
and Anxiety disorders. It is from this combination of professional
roles and perspectives, that Dr. Yamins has developed his specific,
unique and effective method for capitalizing on the full power
of attorneys' knowledge of their cases.
He assists attorneys to do better and more persuasively what
they already do best.
Dr. Yamins' other
major endeavor in psychiatry is the formulation of a comprehensive
theory of psychotherapy,
about which he is writing a book. |
